Film writing

When I was very young, I desperately wanted to be a film director. It was – as Songs for Drella has it – “not something for which I am suited”. I was shadowing Atom Egoyan on the set of Felicia’s Journey, and met a film journalist – Monika Maurer – who at the time ran an independent film site called Kamera. We became (and still are) good friends, despite the arcane pieces I delivered to Monika and her successors in response to their trusting commissions.

If you do want to read them, they’re now archived on this site, and you can jump to the individual pieces below.
